Zetland, 21 October 2026 – Audi Australia is pleased to announce pricing and specification for the all-new, fifth-generation Audi A6 allroad, introducing a new era of electrification, versatility, and performance for the iconic allroad nameplate. The A6 allroad has long stood for it’s athleticism and premium comfort, and the incoming generation is no exception from its storied history as an iconic driving experience.

Redesigned from the ground up, the new A6 allroad combines an athletic wide-body exterior with a technologically advanced interior and an extensive suite of standard equipment. With quattro all-wheel drive, adaptive air suspension, and all-wheel steering fitted as standard across the range, the new generation builds on the allroad's reputation for combining the comfort and refinement of a luxury Avant with the capability to venture beyond the conventional inner-city road.

For the Australian market, the range will comprise two highly specified variants: the A6 allroad e-hybrid quattro 270 kW, priced from $127,900*, and the A6 allroad TDI quattro 220 kW, priced from $137,900*. The incoming e-hybrid introduces plug-in hybrid technology to the A6 allroad model in Australia for the first time, broadening its appeal to customers seeking the versatility of an allroad with the additional flexibility of battery-electric driving range.

With more than $10,000 in additional standard equipment compared with its predecessor, the new A6 allroad also represents a significant advancement in technology, comfort, and driver assistance, with an equipment offering designed to meet the expectations of drivers shopping premium in Australia.

"The Audi A6 allroad has always occupied a distinctive position in our portfolio, combining the practicality of an Avant with the confidence and capability of quattro all-wheel drive," said Peter Strudwicke, Audi Australia Product Manager for the A6 allroad.

"This new generation takes that formula further, with a more striking, purposeful design, an exceptional level of standard equipment, and sophisticated chassis that makes the A6 allroad equally suited to everyday driving and longer journeys across Australia."

"The introduction of the e-hybrid is significant for our market. Together with the advanced V6 TDI, it gives customers two compelling interpretations of the allroad, while delivering the performance and refinement they expect from Audi."

A striking new interpretation of allroad design

The all-new A6 allroad introduces a significantly more athletic yet rugged exterior design, defined by a wider body, muscular proportions, and pronounced front and rear wheel arches that create a powerful stance. For the first time in the model’s 27-year history, the body has been significantly widened - by 84mm compared with the predecessor model. Combined with a wider track, this makes the A6 allroad even more surefooted and provides a commanding presence.

The distinctive allroad character is complemented by a standard black exterior styling package, including black roof rails, contrasting exterior elements, and 20-inch Audi Sport alloy wheels in a black metallic, gloss-turned finish.

Advanced lighting technology further defines the vehicle's appearance, with Matrix LED headlights and LED rear tail lights incorporating a full-width light strip as standard. The optional Premium package introduces digital Matrix LED headlights with micro-LED technology and digital OLED rear lights – these combine adaptive, high-resolution lighting functions with a high degree of personalisation.

Advanced quattro performance and electrification

Both A6 allroad variants destined for Australia feature quattro all-wheel drive and advanced electrified powertrains, delivering strong performance while maintaining the versatility and long-distance capability central to the model.

For the first time in Australia, the A6 allroad will be offered with plug-in hybrid technology, combining a 2.0-litre TFSI petrol engine with an electric motor to deliver a total system output of 270 kW and 500 Nm. The e-hybrid enables drivers to complete shorter journeys using electric power, while retaining the flexibility of a combustion engine for longer-distance travel.

Its high-voltage battery has a gross capacity of 25.9 kWh, with 20.7 kWh of usable capacity, and supports AC charging, with an electric driving range of up to 87 kilometres^. The e-hybrid provides a choice of electric and hybrid operating modes, allowing drivers to tailor the vehicle's energy use to suit their journey.

The Australian specification includes charging equipment for home and public AC charging, with auxiliary air conditioning enabling the cabin to be preconditioned. Distinguishing the e-hybrid visually are allroad-specific 21-inch Audi Sport alloy wheels in a six-flat-spoke design, finished in black metallic with gloss-turned detailing, alongside red brake callipers.

The new A6 allroad TDI quattro is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 turbocharged diesel engine producing 220 kW and 580 Nm of torque, combining strong acceleration and effortless touring performance with Audi's latest mild hybrid plus technology. The system incorporates a belt alternator starter and powertrain generator, supported by an electrically powered compressor that improves engine responsiveness, particularly at lower engine speeds.

By reducing the delay in boost pressure development, the electrically powered compressor enables more immediate acceleration and strong torque delivery, whether overtaking, accelerating from lower speeds, or travelling with additional passengers and luggage. The mild hybrid plus system also supports energy recuperation and electric assistance, contributing to greater efficiency and refinement across a variety of driving conditions. Paired with quattro all-wheel drive and a seven-speed S tronic transmission, the new V6 TDI delivers the confident, responsive driving experience expected of the allroad nameplate.

Exceptional comfort and capability as standard

Central to the all-new A6 allroad is an advanced chassis system designed to deliver a balance of ride comfort, dynamic handling, and capability across varying road surfaces. Adaptive air suspension, developed specifically for the A6 allroad, is fitted as standard and offers a total adjustment range of 55 millimetres, allowing drivers to adapt the vehicle's ride height and suspension characteristics through Audi drive select.

In dynamic mode, the vehicle is lowered by 20 millimetres to support stability and handling. Offroad and offroad+ modes raise the suspension by 15 millimetres, with revised damping and traction control characteristics designed to improve capability on uneven or low-grip surfaces. For additional ground clearance, lift mode raises the vehicle by 35 millimetres at speeds of up to 35 km/h, assisting when negotiating rougher terrain and challenging approaches.

Standard all-wheel steering further enhances the driving experience, improving agility and manoeuvrability at lower speeds while contributing to stability and precision during higher-speed driving. At lower speeds, the rear wheels turn up to five degrees in the opposite direction to the front wheels, reducing the turning circle by almost one metre to just 11.4 metres. At higher speeds, the rear wheels can turn up to two degrees in the same direction as the front wheels, supporting greater stability and confidence.

Together with specially tuned progressive steering and quattro all-wheel drive, these technologies ensure the A6 allroad delivers the responsive dynamics of a premium passenger vehicle with the added capability expected of an allroad.

The interior of the all-new A6 allroad represents a substantial step forward in material quality, comfort, and technology. Both variants feature an S line interior as standard, incorporating sport front seats plus upholstered in perforated Nappa leather with diamond stitching, a three-spoke leather sport steering wheel with a leather covered hub and shift paddles, matt brushed aluminium inlays, stainless steel pedals, and a black headlining.

The electrically adjustable front seats include pneumatic lumbar adjustment and massage functionality, with heating and ventilation also standard. Four-zone climate control and dynamic ambient lighting further enhance the cabin environment for both front and rear passengers.

A highlight is the standard panoramic glass roof with switchable transparency, allowing occupants to adjust the amount of natural light entering the cabin without the need for a conventional sunblind.

For customers seeking a more personalised interior, the optional Customised contour seats package introduces Nappa leather upholstery in a choice of black or Nutmeg brown with contrasting stitching, pneumatically adjustable seat and backrest bolsters, electrically adjustable thigh support, front passenger seat memory, and additional interior trim treatments.

Next-generation digital technology, safety, and assistance

The all-new A6 allroad introduces Audi's latest digital interior architecture, centred around the curved OLED digital stage. An 11.9-inch Audi virtual cockpit plus sits alongside a 14.5-inch OLED MMI touch display, providing a seamless, driver-focused interface for vehicle information, navigation, entertainment, and connectivity.

A 10.9-inch MMI front passenger display is also included as standard, allowing the passenger to access selected entertainment and vehicle functions independently, while a next generation head-up display projects customisable driving information into the driver's field of vision.

Audi connect plus provides connected navigation, infotainment, security, and assistance functionality, while wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration ensure convenient smartphone connectivity. A cooled inductive smartphone charging system and digital radio are also standard. The premium cabin experience is completed by a Bang & Olufsen 3D Premium Sound System, featuring 16 speakers, including a subwoofer, and a total output of 685 watts.

The new A6 allroad introduces an extensive suite of advanced driver assistance technologies, building on the latest systems introduced across Audi's new-generation A5 and Q5 ranges. Standard adaptive cruise assist and active lane assist support the driver during longer journeys, while active front assist incorporates autonomous emergency braking, front cross-traffic assist, and front and rear turn assist.

Audi side assist provides additional awareness of surrounding traffic, incorporating exit warning and rear cross-traffic assist, while lane departure warning with emergency assist and proactive occupant protection systems provide further layers of assistance.

A 360-degree camera system, park assist plus, speed sign recognition, and a front dash camera are also standard across both variants. Occupant protection includes nine airbags, incorporating a front centre airbag, alongside tyre pressure monitoring.

Customers seeking additional convenience and assistance features can select the optional Premium package, which adds digital Matrix LED headlights, digital OLED rear lights, power-latching doors, a heated steering wheel, heated rear outer seats, an electrically adjustable steering column, advanced parking functionality and manual rear-door sunblinds.
